My passion is offering empathetic, intuitive support for wherever you are in Life.
I have dedicated the last decade of my life to caring for countless individuals and families through all of Life's cycles, with a focus on gestational, postpartum, and lactation support. And perhaps most importantly, caring for myself and my small family by healing family lines of trauma and finding my authentic self through art, yoga, spiritual deep diving, education, herbal allies, and therapy. Because of these Life experiences I have a combination of skills, talents, and education that are truly unique.
I have been professionally supporting families since 2009 in New York, New Jersey, and now Pennsylvania. I trained as Doula in the Summer of 2013, but prior to training in birthwork, I studied Nursing, Women & Gender Studies, Journalism/Creative Writing, and Psychology at colleges in PA and NY. I then managed a Gynecologist office just outside New York City along the historic Hudson River, where I was mentored in all aspects of Reproductive Healthcare. |
I believe all people deserve support, respect, education, advocacy, and compassion through all Life has to offer regardless of sexual and/or gender identities, race, religion, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. Some of these Life events could include becoming parents, gender transitioning into your true identity, moving out on your own and/or relocating, experiencing the end of a long term relationship, dealing with trauma and/or loss, and beyond.
I believe in evidence-based practice and its importance to my work, but also in the importance of being culturally humble and respectful of traditions that science has disregarded through patriarchy, sexism, and racism. I don't shy away from the hard conversations, because I truly believe that's where the medicine lies. Let me help you find that medicine rooted deep within yourself, with all the allies I have in my toolbox. |
